Important Notice to All Umvuzo Medical Aid Patients

Due to ongoing and unresolved payment issues, we regret to inform you that we will no longer be accepting new patients on Umvuzo Medical Aid, effective immediately.

Additionally, existing patients on Umvuzo are now required to pay cash for all consultations and services. You may then submit these claims to Umvuzo for reimbursement.

This change comes after repeated instances where Umvuzo has failed to pay billed amounts—or worse, reversed payments months after settlement, placing our practice under unnecessary financial strain.

We encourage all affected patients to raise this issue directly with Umvuzo Medical Aid, and to also lodge a formal complaint with the Council for Medical Schemes, which regulates medical aids in South Africa.
