Subject: Umvuzo Health Correspondence – Tariff Code 0146 and 0147
They noted that “0146 or 0147 was used extensively” Following this, Umvuzo reversed payments going as far back as 2021 for 11 emergency claims submitted over this period, amongst the 263 registered families. We do not think that this was used extensively and we firmly stand by our billing practices, which we believe are fully aligned with the ethical guidelines as outlined by the HPCSA.
